This kit is a very clean-sounding 14-watt Guitar Amplifier with the very popular Big Muff Tone Stack.  The Amplifier is rated at 0.5% THD with 14v into a 4 Ohm load. This is great for learning new songs or just playing along with your favorite music. The Big Muff Tone Stack consists of a passive low-pass filter and a passive high-pass filter with a balancing control. This Big Muff has an additional control for the Body which affects the high-pass filter side. There are numerous versions of the Big Muff available in Guitar Pedals all over the place.

We have adapted the Big Muff Tone Stack and our version sounds great. It has a Tone and a Body control which are both active.

It will accept your guitar input via a 1/4" phono jack. The input is a very-high impedance FET circuit. The guitar sound is then routed thru a Big Muff Tone Stack with Tone and Body controls. The Big Muff Tone control portion uses Mylar (Metalized Polypropylene) Film capacitors for excellent audio characteristics. It is then fed to an OP Amp pre-amplifier with external frequency compensation for frequency stability prior to going into a Class AB, 14-Watt audio amplifier. Connect the output to your speaker cabinet for a neat experience. It will drive a 4 or 8 Ohm speaker, 10 watts or better. The PCB is approx 3.8" wide x 4.8" deep.

The output is available at a 1/4" phono jack AND at a 2-pin Screw Terminal. You get both in the kit. You will also get knobs for the controls.

The operating voltage is 12vdc. It has two 1000uF Capacitors on the input power for additional filtering. You will need a 12vdc power supply capable of delivering at least 2 amps; a 20-watt or better power supply will work just fine.

This is a kit. You will need soldering tools and supplies. Use at least a 4 to 8 Ohm, 10W speaker; none is supplied.

We also offer this as a Built & Tested unit for those that do not want to build it themselves.

This is the fourth 14-Watt Guitar Amplifier Kit we offer with different Tone Stacks.
